Before founding MPR in 2016, Neil spent over twenty years underwriting and managing financial lines insurance at Chubb, where he developed and launched products across all classes of financial lines, and built lasting relationships as he led the UK & Ireland Management Liability business. Neil has always championed regional broking, focusing on building strong partnerships and truly understanding the unique needs of brokers and their clients. He has been a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute since 1999, reflecting his commitment to the highest levels of professionalism in the industry.

Tim has 25 years’ experience in financial lines insurance with deep expertise in cyber and professional indemnity. Beginning his career in broking before transitioning to underwriting and leadership, he has built a strong reputation in the UK regional market. Based in Reading, Tim draws on years of regional experience and industry insight. He blends analytical underwriting expertise with a people-first mindset, building meaningful partnerships based on understanding, consistency and trust.

With over 30 years of experience in the financial lines market, Karen brings a depth of knowledge and a collaborative approach shaped by her work as an underwriter, broker, and Regional Financial Lines Manager. Based in Birmingham, she has built strong, trusted relationships with brokers across the Midlands, South, and London. Since joining MPR in 2017, Karen has led our distribution strategy, working closely with brokers to develop partnerships built on trust, understanding, and a people-focused way of doing business.

With 20 years of experience in financial lines insurance, Anthony brings deep technical expertise with a relationship-led approach. He has held roles at several major insurers, where he built specialist knowledge across a wide range of financial lines products. Drawing on this solid technical foundation, he has successfully supported business growth within the Midlands market, with a particular focus on Management Liability, Crime and Pensions products. Today, as a Senior Underwriter and product manager at MPR, Anthony continues to deliver expert insight and technical knowledge, with a commitment to building strong, trusted broker partnerships.

Catriona brings over 20 years of financial lines insurance experience, shaped by a variety of roles across the UK regions. Her career has been defined not only by technical expertise in developing and underwriting major financial lines products, but also by a people-first approach that values strong relationships and collaboration. Since joining MPR in 2017 as Senior Underwriter, she has continued to champion trusted partnerships with brokers and clients, and now also leads MPRs professional indemnity and financial institutions products.

With 15 years of experience across broking and underwriting, James has spent the past 10 years specialising in financial lines, mostly at MPR. Known for building strong, collaborative relationships with brokers, James takes a hands-on approach to underwriting all major financial lines products, with a particular focus on Management Liability, Crime, and Cyber. He is dedicated to supporting regional brokers by combining strong technical underwriting with delivering tailored solutions. James is a council member of his local Chartered Insurance Institute and holds a diploma-level qualification.

Prior to joining MPR, Pete gained 25 years of underwriting experience at Chubb, having held underwriting and broking roles previously. Pete moved into financial lines insurance in 2000 and in January 2007 he set up The National Underwriting Centre for Financial Lines in Manchester, which delivered superior underwriting and service levels on all financial lines classes of business for brokers across the UK & Ireland.

With over 25 years in the insurance industry, Magnus has developed strong expertise across both broking and insurer roles. His senior leadership and product management experience with major insurers broadened his industry insight and regional networks. He also gained valuable client-facing experience as a broker, deepening his understanding of customer needs. Magnus has a particular focus on delivering tailored solutions for alternative business models and private equity backed ventures. He is known for fostering trusted, collaborative relationships with key brokers across the regions.

Before joining MPR, Jo built over 14 years of underwriting experience in a National Underwriting Centre for Financial Lines in Manchester. She developed deep technical knowledge, particularly across management liability, crime, and pension liability. At MPR Jo is known for her collaborative approach and commitment to service, with a strong focus on delivering responsive, solution-driven support to brokers.

With over 20 years insurance experience, including financial lines underwriting for a major insurer’s National Underwriting Centre, Kendra brings a wealth of knowledge to her role at MPR where she focuses on management liability, crime and pensions liability.
Throughout her career, Kendra has been dedicated to providing brokers with attentive, collaborative support. She prides herself on building strong, service-led partnerships, ensuring brokers receive the tailored solutions and responsive service they need.

Matthew joined MPR in 2021 on our Insurance Professional Apprenticeship programme, a hands-on development pathway designed to support early careers with practical experience and industry recognised qualifications. He successfully completed the programme in 2025 and has since moved into a full underwriting role, where he now focuses on all financial lines products. Matthew has developed a strong foundation in broker relationships, bringing a collaborative and service-focussed approach.

Callum joined MPR in late 2022 and has played an active role in enhancing operational efficiency and supporting the development of the MPR Service Hub – a key initiative focused on delivering consistent, high-quality service. In 2024, he began his Insurance Professional Apprenticeship, a structured, qualifications backed programme designed to support long term growth in the industry. With a current focus on Management Liability, Cyber and Crime products, the apprenticeship also offers broad exposure across all product lines, helping to build technical capability, informed decision-making, and strong relationship skills.
